New Range Murata designed anime coming.

Range Murata is a very popular and talented illustrator who may best be known for his design work for the anime Last Exile has been confirmed as a character designer for a new 2011 anime by Gonzo.

Anime News Network’s update on this information also include an image of a bookcover given to stockholders that was illustrated by Range Murata featuring one of the new characters designed for this upcoming series.

Range’s art style features a heavy art deco style that really separates his work from other illustrators.  He has released over a dozen art books, contributed to design work for a number of video games, as well as having had figures made of his designs.  Some of his work can be seen below.  Click on the images for full sized goodness.
