New Dollfie daughter – Lily makes 3.

By

I’ve been very busy this week so I’m late in reporting this.  On Tuesday (3/15/2011) I received my 3rd Dollfie Dream daughter Saber Lily.  She is just so beautiful that the pictures don’t do her justice.  She really has a wonderful elegant look to her and she’s so photogenic.

I made a detailed post for her arrival at figure.fm if you want to see those pics with a small photo-story as well.

I was very worried about her wig after hearing so many people who have had problems with it.  Thankfully it was fine and I managed to get it on without damaging her pony tail.  For those who are getting her or are unfamiliar with the problem the trouble is with her pony tail.  The pony tail is not very securely attached and if you pull on it or even nudge it too much it could come loose and fall off.

Another issue is the hair that’s coming together where it attaches to the wig is not as securely held together as it could/should be.   This could cause hairs to come loose from the pony tail.  There are some fixes that are suggested on the Internet and some seem to work  I’m tempted to try the suggestion from Wolfheinrich which he did on his Lily – it involves sewing through the wig cap, into the pony tail, and back…  securing it with a few loops so it can accept more pressure without coming loose.

I will be sure to post more and more pics of Lily as I take them.  I’m still working on finishing the styling of her wig and it’s taking some time.  I want her to look her best for future pics.

Lily is such a gorgeous DD daughter, I am sure you will be very happy with her :-)
What you got to do is to be careful about not disrupting the stub on the back of the wig and cause it to slip. I believe the constant motion of pulling and tugging on the wig will eventually cause the ponytail to slip so if you are planning on changing the wig every so often, yeah make sure to do “something” to help secure the ponytail.

I can’t say thanks enough about your advice, not just here but your posts on your own site, about Lily’s wig. When I took it out I handled it with extreme care. I just got some thread that’s a very close match for her hair color so when I do get around to changing her wig I’m going to try the tip you had of securing it with some stitches.
